Earlier this month, we received two wireless mechanical keyboards from Yunzii. We have already reviewed the Yunzii AL66, and now we turn our attention to the Yunzii C68 Mechanical Keyboard. The first impression of this device is “CAT.” Everything about this keyboard is kitty-like, from the keycap design to the anti-skid bottom to the little cat-head at the top. This is certainly a device that cat lovers will absolutely adore. The YUNZII C68 mechanical keyboard offers a delightful blend of functionality, ergonomic design, and charming aesthetics. Designed with a unique kawaii cat-inspired look, this keyboard is perfect for those who want to add a touch of whimsy to their workspace without compromising on performance.

Design and Appearance

The design of the YUNZII C68 is truly unique, featuring an adorable cat head that is detachable, allowing for future customization with other heads. The 65% layout is compact yet functional, providing all necessary keys while saving desk space. The keyboard is available in two charming color choices: pink and coffee, both of which enhance its kawaii appeal.

Bottom Design

The bottom of the YUNZII C68 is designed for stability and convenience. It features non-slip rubber feet that keep the keyboard firmly in place during use. The rubber non-slip feet has a cat paw design. Additionally, the keyboard’s base includes a compartment for storing the 2.4GHz USB receiver, ensuring it remains safe and accessible.

Weight, Dimension & Volume Control

Weighing 1590.5g (3.51lb) and measuring 380mm x 181.1mm x 70.9mm (14.96in x 7.13in x 2.79in), the YUNZII C68 is substantial and robust. Thus, have it in mind that you may not be able to use this keyboard on the go. It is not portable. Also, this keyboard does not have a multifunction knob like the AL66 but it has simple shortcuts that can help users easily easily control volume, adjust RGB modes, and change brightness levels, adding a layer of practicality to its cute design.

Build Quality

Constructed from high-quality silicone and featuring an anodic oxidation process, the YUNZII C68 boasts excellent durability and corrosion resistance. The gasket-mounted design and solid silicone construction ensure a premium typing experience with minimal noise and enhanced comfort.

Key Caps

The keycaps on the YUNZII C68 are made from double-shot PBT material with an MOA profile. These keycaps offer a larger contact surface for comfortable typing and are resistant to wear and oil, ensuring longevity and maintaining their aesthetic appeal. Both the keycaps and switches are easily detachable.

Keyboard Typing/Gaming Experience

The YUNZII C68 provides an exceptional typing and gaming experience. It features pre-lubed switches and stabilizers, which, combined with multiple layers of sound-absorbing fillings, deliver a quiet and smooth typing experience. The ergonomic design helps reduce typing fatigue, making it ideal for long hours of use.

Connectivity

The YUNZII C68 supports tri-mode connectivity, allowing users to switch between Bluetooth, 2.4G wireless, and wired Type-C connections seamlessly. It can connect to up to 5 devices simultaneously, making it a versatile choice for those who use multiple devices regularly.

 

Bluetooth Connection

For Bluetooth connection, simply toogle the switch behind the keyboard to BT (far right) and then put on the Bluetooth on your device and search. Within a few seconds, “YUNZII C68 BT5.0” will appear on your screen. Pair the keyboard to your device and you are good to go.

2.4Ghz Connection

For the 2.4GHz connection, place the switch to the WiFi symbol (far left), then take out the left anti-skid cat paw on the bottom of the keyboard and you will find the 2.4GHz switch. Insert the switch into your device and you are good to go.

Wired connection

With the original USB Type-C cable in the box, connect this keyboard to any compatible device and you are good to go. It is very simple and straightforward. The braided wire is quite long so it gives users some distance of operation.
