How to change Instagram Story background color

It's probably time to add a little variety to your Instagram Story.

One way to do that is by changing the color of your background. Customizing your background color gives you more control over the way your Insta Story will be perceived by your followers. Whatever message you're trying to send with your Story, you can pick a background color that accentuates it. Here's how to do it.

How to change the background color on your Instagram Story

1. Tap the "Create" button at the top of your Instagram home page

2. Tap "Story"

3. If Instagram opens your camera roll, tap on the camera icon

4. Tap the upper/lower-case A "Create" icon on the left

5. Tap the colorful circle in the bottom right corner to change the background color

6. Tap the icon to display a different color. Every time you tap the icon the background color will change.

From solid black and gray, to various gradients, to rainbow, give your Insta Story the pop of color it deserves.
