Elon Musk wanted more Elon Musk on Twitter so Twitter is now all Elon Musk

Does Twitter need more Elon Musk?

It's a question that's currently being answered for many users, who are seeing predominantly Elon tweets in their "For You" feeds.

According to desperate criesreports on Twitter, Elon's Tweets are showing even if they're a few days old, and sometimes they're packed one after the other (for the record, my Twitter feed appears normal, with just the usual amount of Elon).

The issue comes a few days after Musk tweeted that the company applied a fix for a "bug" that resulted in "95%" of Musk's tweets not getting delivered at all (again, for the record, this never happened to me; Musk's tweets were always promptly delivered to my feed).

The jokester that he is, Elon tweeted a (distatestful) meme about this which appears to indicate that he is happy with the way Twitter is right now, which is overloaded with his own tweets. We guess being reasonably popular on Twitter wasn't quite enough for the man.

Fortunately (or not?), the algorithmic "For You" feed isn't the default feed for users anymore, so if you switch to "Following," which is a chronological list of tweets from the people you follow, you'll avoid being over-Musked.

UPDATE: Feb. 14, 2023, 9:43 a.m. CET It appears that Twitter is working on fixing the problem. "Please stay tuned while we make adjustments to the uh .… “algorithm," tweeted Musk. On the other hand, the "adjustments" might mean that they're bringing even more Musk to everyone's feeds. Let's hope for the best.
