Police appealing to the public on Facebook for help tracking down a wanted man isn't particularly uncommon. Getting a response from the suspect, though -- that doesn't happen every day.

On Tuesday, North Wales Police shared the following photograph of 31-year-old Martin Tate from Caernarfon, Wales, who they say is wanted for assault.

The top comment beneath that post? From Martin Tate himself.

A look on Tate's Facebook page shows that it does appear to be the same man.

The last post on Tate's Facebook page is from 15 hours ago.

"Pump yp [sic] the tyres were [sic] living [sic] Wales now hahahaha," it reads. The photo shows Tate and an unnamed friend posing in hoodies and holding what look like wine bottles.

Mashablereached out to North Wales Police for an update, and they confirmed Tate remains at large.

"We are still conducting enquiries to locate and arrest him," a spokesperson said.
