Sean Penn's debut novel, out in April, is apparently going to be a loaded allegory. Among other things, it will contain references to prominent social movements and a questionable president, as well as the #MeToo movement.
For some background, Penn was charged with physically abusing then-wife Madonna in the 1980s, a charge she withdrew and eventually denied altogether. We don't need another #MeToo take from a man on the outside, much less one with this spot on his record, rescinded or not.
So we're turning to angry gifs.
