It's 2017 and trolling by way of Nickelback still shows no sign of slowing down.
Republican Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska announced on Twitter Friday that he was the victim of some pretty hilarious internet trolling. Someone found a few of his email addresses, and signed him up for a bunch of promotion and fan newsletters about the most hated band on the internet, Nickelback.

Regardless of your political view of Sasse, he deserves this. Sasse has made cracking jokes about Nickelback his own personal brand. He tweets about Nickelback so much, we're beginning to think he's actually a big fan.
