The red design symbolizes a daring spirit and confidence to succeed, while the all-capital letters represent a powerful and strong inner core, the company stated on the Chinese social platform Weibo. “Xiaomi’s growth in the high-end market and its use of advanced technology to enter higher price segments create expansion opportunities for Redmi,” said Lu Weibing, general manager of Xiaomi’s brand.
