When you turn 48 years old and already have the world at your fingertips, there's really only one thing left to do: change your name.

At least, that's what Sean Combs—now formerly known as Diddy, P. Diddy, Puff Daddy—has done. The music mogul, who turned 48 on Saturday, took a break from his weekend festivities in Mexico to share an important announcement with the world.

"I've been praying on this and I've decided...I know it's risky and I know it's corny to some people...I decided to change my name again," he said in a video uploaded to social media.

"I'm just not who I am before. I'm something different. So my new name is Love, aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers but Love or Brother Love."

The name change has sparked a mixed bag of emotions from folks who have seen Combs go through a rolodex of nicknames over the years.

Turns out, wrestling personality Bruce Prichard goes by Brotherly Love, which has sparked a bit of contention that he's planning to formally address soon.

We'll see how long it takes for him to change his social media handles to reflect the new name but if Wu-Tang Clan can already make the switch, then well, you can too.
