Well, it finally happened.

President-elect Donald Trump and President Barack Obama sat together in a room and talked.

Bum bum bum...

Trump stopped by the White House today to chat with Obama about his upcoming transition into office, and much to everyone's surprise, the country and both men are still standing.

Considering the past few months on the campaign trail consisted of Trump heavily insulting Obama's policies and Obama declaring Trump isn't suitable to hold office, we're betting you could have cut the tension in that room with a knife.

Though Americans had no clue what to expect, it appears as though the two men kept things civil.

Following the meeting, Obama said the two had an excellent conversation that allowed them to discuss some important issues. Trump went on to explain that it was a "great honor" to be with the president, and even said he looks forward to future interactions.

But are Americans buying that? Nope.

After such an ugly campaign, people of the internet seem to think that Trump and Obama's first meeting went a little toosmoothly. Some are even cracking jokes on Twitter to remind everyone that just a few days ago these two men appeared to have zero respect for one another.

Well, whether they're putting on an act or not it looks like the sun will rise again tomorrow, people.
