In his emotional tweet, Kanye wrote, "Nori asked if the airplane could take her to heaven to see you for your birthday." The rapper ended the tweet with "I love you mom," and attached an old photograph of him and his mom together and smiling.

Since Donda's death, Kanye has incorporated her memory into his art on numerous occasions, most recently with his song "Only One," which was written from her perspective in heaven. He also announced his development of a video game, which is a tribute to her.
