Mom and sister can't appreciate little girl's mourning of her pet snails

It's always hard to lose a pet. But you can always count on the support of your loved ones to get you through a difficult time.

One little girl happily brought her pet snails, Anna and Elsa, to school with her. Unfortunately, her teacher thought the precious pets were snails from the playground and tossed them back outside.

You can imagine the little girl was understandably upset.

Her older sister Shauna posted a tweet of a text conversation with her mom after the incident. As much as both mom and sister would offer their condolences, they can't help but see the humor in it.

Honestly, having two pet snails in school was inevitably going to cause a problem. Let's hope the little gastropods survived being tossed out.

We're sure mom and sister offered plenty of sympathy. At least maybe when they stopped laughing.
